As a fashionable independent brand, we work on the cutting edge of new trends. Our commitment to modern and creative hairdressing presents beautiful, stylish hair on city streets, at industry seminars and shows, and at the apotheosis of the fashion industry: New York Fashion Week. This month we made our approach to avant-garde hair shapes and styles central to the work of many of the world’s top designers. Here we report on the Blanc de Chine show.
This Chinese luxury brand presented its fall/winter 2012 runway show at its New York flagship store on Fifth Avenue. The theme was “Back to Classics.” The collection blended traditional Chinese cultural concepts with modern design components. The concept of “so ancient, so modern” is evident throughout. The brands roots in simplicity, purity, and timelessness with a dash of contemporary is accessorized with swept back hairstyles, center-parts, and beautiful braiding. It is elegant, creative, functional, and timeless –– just like the clothing.
