Monday, February 1, 2010 - 13:47News: SHOW report: In Berlin, ARROJO Shows Vision of the Future
The Wella International Trend Vision Awards ceremony and show is one of the most respected, inspirational events in the industry. For the 7th annual Trend Vision, the world’s most talented stylists and colorists, as well as the global beauty media, gathered in Berlin to celebrate the skills of innovative young stylists. At the event, Wella also revealed their much anticipated Trend Vision 2010 looks––four of the hottest hair trends that are set to be the major influences for the year ahead.
And that’s where we came in. As we have a long-standing relationship with Wella, working together at educational shows and seminars up and down the country, as well as being a leading Wella color salon, we were invited to create the look for one of those four trends.
So ARROJO stylists, Nick, James, Abbey, and Nicole took to the stage with a standout show. Labeled ‘Nomad Couture,’ this trend is distinct for its lived-in, modern feel, combinations of natural and distressed textures, aggressive, heavy layering, and definitive fringe emphasis. Bright colors, with strong, dynamic accents complete each style.
In New York, we live in a cultural melting pot, and integration of different lifestyles into one society is something we see all the time; there are no boundaries; different customs and traditions cross paths. With the integration of contrasting textures, shapes, and colors, the inspiration of ‘Nomad Couture,’ is the thriving union of cultures we see every day. We are reflecting the ideal of harmonious, multi-culture, and that’s a trend all can support.
