Monday, February 1, 2010 - 14:35News: SHOW report: Intercoiffure 2009
Intercoiffure is the oldest association of hair salon owners in the world and, still, one of the most prestigious. Their yearly symposium, sponsored by Wella, is known as the Oscars of the hair industry, gathering, as it does, many of the business leaders and decision makers for a gala evening of awards and events.
And as new members, invited onto the stage at the event, held at the Waldorf Astoria, NYC, this was an extra special night for ARROJO.
On stage, to the who’s who of hair, Nick and the team presented twenty-five models that reflected how we work and create, alongside our own trend-conscious and New York City inspired aesthetic. Working with people such as Katie Gallagher, a young, up and coming designer who stole much attention at New York Fashion Week, each look showcased our own sense of styling, and our own sense of contemporary and creative, yet instantly wearable, hair shape and style.
Nick’s on-stage message, highlighting how hairdressers must take ownership of their industry, and continue to educate themselves and each other in an effort to raise the bar and make America the global leader of hairdressing excellence and integrity, was as inspirational as any look, and drew a standing ovation from the Intercoiffure crowd.
